Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using RiderReady ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
Beta
Public Beta Status
RiderReady is currently in public beta. This means the platform is under active development and you should expect significant changes over time.
- Features may change or be removed - Any feature you use today may be modified, replaced, or discontinued without notice
- Data may be reset - User preferences, saved configurations, and other data may be cleared during major updates
- Bugs and issues - You may encounter errors, performance problems, or unexpected behavior
- No guaranteed uptime - Service availability is not guaranteed during the beta period
- Rapid iteration - The UI, features, and functionality will evolve based on user feedback
By using this beta: You accept that the platform will evolve, features you rely on may change or disappear, and your experience today may differ from tomorrow. Your feedback helps shape what RiderReady becomes.
Usage
Acceptable Use
Understanding our terminology and what is and isn't permitted on the platform.
Definitions
- "Platform" - RiderReady website and all associated services
- "User" - Any person who accesses or uses the Platform
- "Contributor" - User with approved status to submit equipment data edits
- "Content" - All data, reviews, text, images, and information on the Platform
- "Equipment" - Professional production equipment specifications and data across lighting, audio, video, staging, backline, site equipment, and SFX departments
You May
- Browse and search equipment specifications
- Create an account and submit reviews
- Apply to become a Contributor and submit data edits
- Compare equipment and use our tools for professional purposes
- Share equipment pages with colleagues
- Export data for personal use (within reasonable limits)
You May NOT
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download large portions of our database
- Submit false, misleading, or defamatory reviews
- Impersonate other users, manufacturers, or vendors
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Spam the platform with duplicate or low-quality submissions
- Reverse engineer or attempt to access restricted areas
- Use our data to build a competing product without permission
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Violate any laws or regulations
Account
Your Account
Account Creation
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and current information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- One person may not create multiple accounts
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
Content
Content & Reviews
User-Generated Content
By submitting content (reviews, equipment data, contributions), you:
- Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
- Represent that you have the right to submit the content
- Agree your content does not violate any third-party rights
- Understand your content may be publicly displayed (unless submitted anonymously)
Review Guidelines
- Honest feedback only - Reviews must be based on real experience
- No fake reviews - Paid, incentivized, or fabricated reviews are prohibited
- Professional tone - Keep reviews constructive and industry-appropriate
- No defamation - Avoid false claims or personal attacks
- No conflicts of interest - Disclose if you work for the manufacturer/vendor
Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Contributor submissions are subject to editor review before publication.
Data
Data & Intellectual Property
Data Accuracy & Disclaimer
We strive to provide accurate equipment specifications, but:
- No warranty - Data is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind
- Third-party sources - Much data comes from manufacturers, users, and public sources
- Errors possible - Specifications may contain errors or be outdated
- Verify critical info - Always verify critical specifications with the manufacturer
- Not liable - We are not liable for decisions based on inaccurate data
Important: RiderReady is a reference tool. Always consult manufacturer documentation and verify specifications before making purchasing or technical decisions.
Our Property
The RiderReady name, logo, design, software, and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without permission.
Third-Party Property
Manufacturer names, logos, product images, and GDTF files are property of their respective owners. We use them under fair use for comparison and commentary purposes.
DMCA Compliance
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, contact us at dmca@riderready.live with details.

Liability & Disputes
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- RiderReady is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties
- We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Platform
- We are not responsible for third-party content, links, or services
- Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us (if any)
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RiderReady and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute, please contact us first at support@riderready.live. We'll work with you to resolve it informally.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where RiderReady is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration
Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
